|January Favourites

First favourites of the year and i don't have many this month as i haven't really found many products that i have been using consistently.

|W7 In the Buff palette
I got this palette for Christmas and have been using ever since, it is amazing! I won't talk to much about it because i have already posted a full review that i have linked if you would like more information.

|Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer
This is a recent rediscovery of mine, i used to use it then it just seemed to get lost in my collection. The consistency of this concealer is so smooth and creamy and doesn't move around my face as i know other cream concealers can do.

|Miss Manga mascara
An old favourite of mine that i have started to use again, the hype around this product is definitely worth it! Mine is starting to run out now and i will be repurchasing for sure!

|Simple Moisturising Facial Wash
I had the full size of this last year and was using it for months then i stopped for some reason, but i got i mini simple gift set for Christmas and have been using it ever since. It leaves your face feeling fresh and soft!

|Whiplash
I have a random favourite this month and it is the film whiplash. It is out in cinemas now and it is the best film i have seen in a long time. I would recommend anybody to go and see it!

Review| Elf Shimmer Palette*

I don't really own a lot of products from Elf but am willing to always try more so here i have the Elf shimmer palette*, In the palette there are 4 cream highlights which are very pigmented, are very easy to blend. They also look great as brow bone highlights and could also be used as cream shadows. The highlight lasted all day which i was surprised at with it being a cream formula.
I really like how compact the palette is for travel and you have multiple shades to choose from.
You can purchase the palette from here for £3.95.

I was very kindly sent this by Product testing UK and if you want to join the Beauty blogger testing list click the link.

|Soap & Glory Body Butters

I received these mini Soap & Glory body butters for Christmas and have been using them since and as you can still buy them i thought i would review them for you.
I love Soap and Glory products and have used 2 of these before as 'The righteous butter' for years and is one of my favourite moisturisers.
'Butter yourself' has a similar scent to 'The righteous butter', it also is available in a body lotion which i have used and really liked.
Sugar Crush is a quite a new scent for Soap and Glory and at first i wasn't so sure on it, i have grown to like it now that i have used it but it's not my favourite scent!

All the body butters are extremely moisturising and would thoroughly recommend them!
These mini's are great for travel and even if you wanted just to try it without buying the full size. The full size body butters cost £10.50.

Book Review| 'It's Not Me, It's You' Mhairi McFarlane

Reading is another one of my loves so i decided to incorporate it in to my blog by posting books reviews. I mush refer reading  'Proper' book rather than on my kindle because i find i feel more connected with a book rather than a screen!

The first book for review is 'It's not me, it's you', It is a romantic book which is one of my favourites to read.
The story starts with thirty-something Geordie Delia who has a long term boyfriend Paul and all is going fine until she finds out that has has been cheating on her with a younger woman, So having found out about that she decides to hop a train to London to stay with her friend Emma and starts a love/hate relationship with Journalist Adam West, with a lot of twists and turns along the way.
That is all am going to stay as i don't want to spoil the book and if i elaborate on the story it will give it away!

I really enjoyed this book, its a great read and would thoroughly recommend it! I will definitely will be purchasing other books by this author. I love the spine, it would look great on a book case!

If you have any suggestions on what books to read next please comment!

Review |Got2b Oil Iicious Dry Oil mist

I have tried quite a few items from this Got2b range and loved them all so i saw this and liked the look of as i love anything argan oil related!
I only spray on it the mid length to ends and my hair is prone to going oily and i don't want to fuel it by spraying the roots! It doesn't leave an oily residue which in glad about because nobody likes sticky hair! You spray this on dry hair after styling.

The mist is available from Superdrug and Boots here for £3.00.

Review| W7 Lashtastic Mascara

I have featured this product in a previous post but only briefly so i thought i would post a more in depth review. This is a great mascara and i have been loving using it but only on my top lashes as i found it smudged on my lower lashes and i never really have that trouble with other mascaras.
It is quite a wet formula so if you don't like that kind of mascara i think it would be better to leave it open for a while then go back to use it once it's dried out a little. The wand is plastic with small bristles which i don't mind i don't really stick to specific wand type!
For only £1.99 i would recommend picking this up.

Golden Globes 2015| Best Dressed

As it is the start of the awards season I thought i would make a series on the best dressed of the award shows starting with the Golden Globes because i love seeing what everybody has worn on the red carpet, which im sure a lot of people do!

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad has to be my favourite dress, she is just flawless, does she ever age?!

Jennifer Aniston  in Saint Laurent, She can do no wrong in my eyes!

Emily Blunt wearing Michael Kors, love the Simplicity on this dress.

Lorde in custom Narciso Rodriguez, You can't go wrong with a black suit and she updates it by paring with a crop top.

Dakota Johnson in Chanel who doesn't love a little bit of glitter? or maybe a lot in this case!

Chrissy Teigen wearing Zuhair Murad, this dress is beautiful!

I also had to mention Benedict Cumberbatch as i have huge soft spot for him! Jamie Dornan because look at that beard!!

You Beauty Discovery Box| January Edition

The theme of the first discovery box of the new year is a quite fitting 'New year, new you' Again this month there wasn't a lot that caught my eye in the products. I did really want the Elemis pro collagen marine cream but by the time i order my box it was out of stock! The other items available were:

|Tresseme 60 second treatment shot
|DHC cleansing oil
|Afyna body scrub & lotion
|Boutique nail polish in 2 colours

I choose a Burt's bees lip balm as i had never tried anything from the brand before and needed a new lip balm as mine has just run out!
The second item i chose was a Meru Maya cleansing balm & overnight recharge night cream. I must admit the size of the night cream sample is a bit disappointing as it is so tiny!
I have used products from this brand before that i received from a previous You beauty box and am excited to try them.

|I Heart Makeup Go! Palette

I had been looking at these palettes for a while but never picked one up until i got this one for Christmas. Included in the palette is six eye shadows, a blush, bronzer and highlight. All the eye shadows are shimmery which i like because i love shimmery shadows!

This palette is great for travel as it has all the different products included to save on space. All the products in the palette are highly pigmented, especially the highlighter. The eye shadows stayed on all day and didn't fade. The palettes are usually £6.49 but are on offer on the make up revolution website for £3.99.

I would recommend this palette and i really want to try the others in the range.it's inexpensive for the amount of shades you get including blush, bronzer and highlight.

|Empties #9

|Nspa cleansing oil
My favourite product to take my make up off with, i have talked about this loads.

|Soap and glory butter yourself body lotion
I love soap and glory and i love this! It lasted ages as you don't really need to use a lot of product, smells great as all products from them do and i would repurchase.

|Superdrug purifying facial sheet mask
The best face mask i have used up until now! The scent is amazing!! spearmint is one of my favourite scents ever, well worth a try!

|Johnsons gentle exfoliating wash
I did like this when i first used it but I wouldn't buy this again i don't think as it didn't do anything special to my skin!

|Ted baker body wash
Im not really keen on this so be honest, the scent is a little overpowering.

|Nyx pin up tease mascara
I would recommend this mascara as it separates and lengthens lashes, full review here!

|Seventeen photo flawless primer
One of my favourite primers but it has been discontinued! I still have one tube left though so i don't have to worry yet!

|Mua clear mascara
I used this to set my brows and it's only £1 so i will be buying again! I don't really use anything fancy for my brows like an actual brow set.

|Collection liquid eye liner
I haven't used all of this because it dried up but from what i used it was on okay eye liner not the best but fine for the price.

|Along came betty brwow kit
I don't think you can buy this anymore but i still have a back up left to use!

Great soap to wash your brushes with!

I love the smell of Dove hair products, they smell clean and fresh. I also use the, same shampoo.

I think this has been in every empties post i have posted and i still continue to buy it, for only £1 i would recommend you buy it!

|W7 In the Buff palette

W7 is a brand that i have tried quite a few different products from this year and i have to say they have some amazing products at inexpensive prices. This palette only cost £5.00 for 12 shadows which is amazing value. This is an Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. I really like that the packaging is sturdy and easy to travel with. The shades are a range of mattes and shimmery.

You get 12 shadows that are highly pigmented and easily blendable and a double ended brush. These shades are my favourite to wear as i feel them compliment my eye colour the best. I would 100% recommend this palette to anybody!
