Review| Olay Toner & Cleansing Milk

Olay is a brand that always associated with more mature skin but that is not the case, it can be used on all skin types and ages. I saw these two skincare products in Asda on offer and thought i would give them a go!
First of all i love the scent it is subtle but clean and fresh. They remove my make up and leave my skin feeling soft and smooth. I have been using these for about 2 weeks now and i have had no problems with my skin.
I would recommend that you give Olay products a try if you are looking for inexpensive skincare !

Top 5 |Autumn Lipsticks

It's time again for the dark vampy lips to make and appearance which i can say i am very happy about! I have picked out my favourite autumn lipsticks to share with you.

First of all i just want to say that 3 might look the same but i can assure you that there are some differences!!

|Make Up Revolution 'Rebel With Cause'
An old favourite from last year i wore this non stop, it has a sheeny finish not glossy but not matte either. It lasts very well on the lips considering the finish.

|Mac Creme cup
Gotta have a nude lipstick included as in Autumn i like a dark smokey eye, this one is perfect! This is a creamsheen finish.

|I Heart Make up 'Racing Heart'
This lipsticks swatches a lot more pink toned than it looks in the bullet. I love the heart shaped applicator!

||Rimmel  Kate '107'
A blogger favourite that makes an appearance every year! Perfect matte dark red.

|Wet'n'Wild 'Cherry Picking'
A new find for me this year, again another matte lipstick. This is very pigmented and opaque.

Book Review| Never Google Heartbreak : Emma Garcia

This book made me laugh out loud quite a few times and not many books do that to me! I really liked the two main characters in this book, they are extremely likable. The book kind of reminded me 'Bridget Jones' Diary' with some of the situations!
Overall, i think any chick lit fans would love this book so recommend a read!

'When her fiancé Rob breaks off their engagement for the third time, Viv does what any girl would do - she Googles heartbreak.
Confronted by tales of misery, she decides to set-up her own self-help website for the broken-hearted. But as Viv passes through the three essential stages of grief (denial, vodka, disastrous haircut), she becomes determined that it's not too late to try and get Rob back.
When things get out of hand after a drunken declaration of love at an extremely inappropriate moment, Viv's scruffy, tequila-swilling best friend Max is there to pick up the pieces. Viv starts to realise that maybe the real thing has been under her nose all this time, and now - one ex and a massive error of judgement later - she has to face the question:
What's the craziest thing you'll do for love'
You can purchase here for 1p!

I have read the sequel to this book already and have a review up!

Review| TheBalm 'Hot Mama' Blush

The Balm is a brand that i have been wanting to try for ages as they are always mention on Youtube and blogs. This is the first purchase i have made from this brand.
I purchased from Feel Unique .
The blush is very pigmented and there is a gold shimmer running through it. The shade is a pinky peach so compliments all skin tones. It lasts a good amount of time which i am happy with.
Can we just talk about the packaging! How amazing, This brand 100% produces the cutest packaging!
Hot Mama has definitely made me want to try more product from The Balm.

|What I've Been Watching #5

|Spike Island
This film has just been added to Netflix and i had been wanting to watch it since it came out and it did not disappoint!
It's all about a group op teenager during the build up to The Stone Roses' huge Spike
Island gig in 1990.

|Great British Bake Off
GBBO has become a cult British programme now i think as the amount of viewers it has been pulling in is unbelievable and i am no exception, i love it!!

|Bridget Jones' Diary
A cult chick flick that i think every girl should watch at least once!

|Mount Pleasant
This show is on it's 5th series now which is currently airing on Sky1. I have watched all the episodes. Again it is set in Manchester and if you have read my previous posts i love to watch Manchester based shows!
The show is based around a cul de sac and each of the neighbours have their own storyline.

|3 Mini Book Reviews

I have been reading a lot of books at the minute and instead of writing separate reviews i thought i would write 3 short reviews.

|The Piano Man Project

Honeysuckle Jones has a problem, and her best friends Nell and Tash are on a mission to help her solve it. She needs a man – a caring, intelligent, funny man. But most importantly, a man who’s good with his hands…
Luckily Honey’s new neighbour – moody, antisocial ex-chef Hal – fails on almost every count. Even though the chemistry between them is electric, he’s obviously wrong for her in every way.
But when Honey discovers the devastating reason for his moods she decides to give him another chance. And discovers that the best songs aren’t always in tune…'
I'm not gonna lie it was the cover that first entice me to this book because it's so bright, but im glad it did as it's a great book! There is a unexpected twist in the book that i wasn't expecting. The character progression throughout the books makes you really connect with them.

|Undertaking Love

'When Marla Jacobs discovers that the vacant shop next to her Little White Wedding Chapel is to become a funeral parlour, she declares all-out war on the new proprietor Gabriel Ryan.
With an army of loyal supporters, she embarks on a campaign to sabotage his reputation and livelihood.
But when she finally meets Gabriel, she realises just how much trouble she’s in. With his effortless charm and Celtic good looks, Gabriel begins to form alliances with her so called ‘loyal’ army and, reluctantly, she finds herself falling under his spell. And destroying him becomes the last thing on her mind…'

This book and the first one i was talking about are by the same author and i have only just realised whilst writing this!! That explains why they have a similar writing style! This book did make me a little emotional but i would highly recommend it!

|Red letter Day

'Recently married to Dermot and tipped as Ireland's hottest new designer, Celine Moore is relaxed, happy and looking forward to an exciting future. Why then just five years later, is she barely able to hold her head up high in her local Dublin neighbourhood, at odds with her father and sister-in-law and accepting a job in a second hand clothes shop? Celine's life changed the night Dermot failed to return from work. The shock of Dermot's violent end destroys all her happiness and ambition. Aching loneliness and anger take their place, and without thinking through the consequences, Celine embarks on an affair with a married man. Desperate to put some distance between herself and the local gossips, a new start in a new place and a new job seems like the perfect opportunity to start again. But it's not long before she realizes that however much you try to run away, your past has a habit of catching up with you dramatically in the end...'

I love any book set in Ireland so i had to get this and i liked the narrative. It covered a lot of themes and was a great read. Again i really liked the writing style of this author and i have since purchased another book by her.

Review| Collection Contour Kit

Contour kits have been everywhere recently most brands seem to be bringing them out and this is what Collection has to offer!
First of all i was very surprised by the size of this product, the pans are a lot bigger that i expected. The bronzer is matte and the highlight has a slight shimmer running through it which i like. I have the shade 1, the pigmentation is good, its not overly pigmented that it is too hard to work with.

The kit is currently on offer for £2.79 in Superdrug and is normally £4.19. I would highly recommend the kit as it is a great colour not too orange.

Review| Trinity City Hotel Dublin

I recently stayed in the Trinity Hotel in Dublin, the hotel is 4 star situated in the city centre. I was in awe of the lobby it was so grand and extravagant!
(So as expected this post is picture heavy!)
The location of the hotel is extremely central just opposite Trinity College so very easy to get around on foot!
I loved all the statues and ornaments that were dotted around the hotel and also the miniature toiletries are from The White Company! We had breakfast included and it was was amazing even though i am very fussy when it comes to food, there's nothing better than hotel breakfasts!

I will definitely be staying here again when i visit next and is it the best hotel i have ever stayed in, thoroughly recommend a stay!

Review| Infamous Diner

Infamous diner is a new diner in the Northern Quarter In Manchester. I had seen it a lot in the press and had to give it a try! It is is in a very central location as it is around 2 minutes off Market Street.

I love the decor, it made me feel like i was in Grease! A frozen Strawberry Daiquiri was my choice of drink and it was so good, it was £7.00 which is about the standard price for cocktails!
I chose the Infamous burger £8.95, i was surprised with how much food you actually got and the onion rings were huge! I really liked how the food was presented in a basket! All the staff were very friendly and helpful!

Here is the website which has all the menus and prices.

Infamous diner will definitely be a place that visit again and i recommend that you try it out!
