The Band Musical |Manchester Opera House

The Band starts off in 1993 with 5 school girls who love this boy band and after a tragic event it then jumps to present day were the girls are all middle aged and last touch. They are reunited and that's were im going to leave it to avoid spoiling it!
Take that songs are performed throughout the show as expected!

The story line wasn't what i expected as it does have a few sad scenes and focuses around friendship. I think i just expected it to be about Take That or the life of a band!
I really liked the use of the stage and props, very innovative how they used the space.

The Guys who played the Band members were great they all had amazing voices. They are the winners of the BBC show Let It Shine.
The whole cast were brilliant, i especially loved the girls that played the younger versions, i thought they were great together!

The shows has the same producers as The Full Monty and The Girls and like them shows it has the same heartwarming themes throughout. If you have seen any of them shows before you will be able to see similarities, not it the narrative but in the way it makes you feel.

Definitely a must for Take That Fans! but the shows also appeals to everybody as it is heartwarming tale. After leaving Manchester it starts it's National Tour you can see the dates here.

Cilla The Musical| Liverpool Empire Theatre

On the 8th September i attended the Press Night for Cilla The Musical at the Liverpool Empire.
This is a brand new production and where else could it premiere apart from Liverpool! It is based on the TV series that starred Sheridan Smith and co produced by Cilla's Son Robert Willis.
The whole cast were absolutely amazing but my stand outs are Kara Lilly Hayworth who plays Cilla, she was phenomenal. Her voice gave me chills, for some parts it actually felt like i was watching Cilla! Another Stand out for me was Carl Au who plays the charming and loveable Bobby, Cilla's Husband. His voice was also amazing. I loved the relationship/chemistry the pair had together.

The songs features include some of The Beatles, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Big Three and Mamas & Papas. The set transported you from the Cavern Club to Cilla's flat to New York.

The production is still in Liverpool for another week, then continues to tour around the U.K until March 2018. I highly recommend you get yourself some tickets as it not one to be missed.

Brontë Country| Haworth

I recently visited the Bronte Parsonage Museum in Harworth, Yorkshire. The museum is actually inside the house the Bronte's actually lived in. Admission is £8.50 for adults and the ticket is valid for a year so you can visit as many times as you would like, which i think is excellent value!

The museum features costumes and props from 'To Walk Invisible' a BBC feature film the aired in 2016 , its a great watch i highly recommend it. Belongings and artifacts of all the Bronte's are also on display.
The village of Haworth is so picturesque and quaint. I felt like i had been transported back to the 18th Century with all the beautiful, traditional shop fronts.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Bronte Parsonage Museum and Haworth village and i will be back soon!
