|February Favorites

I have included a few non beauty favourites this month as well as the usual beauty and skincare products.

|Meru Maya Cleansing Balm
This product has converted me to cleansing balms! It is so easy and quick taking your make up off, So i will definitely be purchasing another one!

|Make Up Revolution (Mocha love)
I have only been using the same two eye shadows daily this month, I have hit pan on this shadow and i rarely do that and especially on a single shadow! It is a great matte shadow perfect for a transition shade or all over the lid.

|L'occitane Almonde Hand Cream
L'occitane is a recent discovery of mine and i really like the brand! This hand cream smells amazing and is very moisturising which is great as i have dry hands.

|Gold Eye shadow
This eye shadow  doesn't have a name or shade but it is from Savers and was only £1. Its pigmented and really blendable. I have been using this on a daily basis along with the Make Up Revolution single shadow.

|Love, Rosie
I have been wanting to watch this film for ages now and finally got round to watching it, it is exactly the type of film i love to watch! I highly recommend it if you love romantic films!

|Fourfiveseconds: Rihanna, Paul McCartney and Kanye
Not usually a person i would listen too as i am not a fan of Kanye really but i love this song!

28 Cheek Products in 28 days| #28 Make Up Revolution Baked Blush

Well we have come to the end of this months cheek products series, Thank you for reading! The last product is from one of my favourite brands Make Up Revolution! This is a vivid baked blush in the shade Loved Me The Best. I love the pattern of the blush it's so pretty! It does contain shimmer and when you wear this you don't need to wear a highlighter is you don't want to as it gives a lovely sheen to the skin!
It is available for £2.50, The shade is a pinky/coral and would suit any skintone.

28 Cheek Products in 28 days| #26 W7 The Honey Queen Blusher

W7 is a brand that i have featured a lot in this series and that is because they have become one of my favourite brands especially for blushers as they have a huge range of shades.
I have mentioned this in a previous blog post but i thought i would elaborate on it as i love the product!
The Honey Queen blusher is a bronze/peachy toned blush with a hint of shimmer. It looks amazing with a bronze make up look and on tanned/darker skin but it still works on pale complexions! With the hint of shimmer it really brightens up your whole face!
The price ranges depending on where you buy it from but it's around £4-£5.

It's time for the Brits, my favourite of all the award shows! I must admit i wasn't blown away by the fashion, there was a lot of hit and misses in my opinion but here are my favourites!

Rita Ora's outfit was my favourite, her make up looks flawless, love the smokey eye.
Cara Delevigne suits the androgynous look amazingly and i love the shirt and tailored trousers which are Saint Laurent.
Paloma Faith looks very elegant and feminine, i love her hair colour and make up!
I love everything about Laura Whitmore's outfit!

All of Little Mix look beautiful, each of their dresses suits them perfectly!

|Disappointing Products

A bit of a different post for me today, a disappointing products one. I don't really have a lot of products but these are the one that just didn't work for me!

|Seventeen Gel Eyeliner
Seventeen is one of my favourite brands but this just isn't cutting it for me! The eye liner always transfers on to the tops of my lids and i do not have oily lids as all! Also the colour fades after about an hour or so and i expected it to last all day and it does not at!

|Essence Metal Glam Eye shadow
When i first got this is thought that as it had a top layer of glitter the colour would be under that but it wasn't and it has barely any pigment. I love Essence products and one their eye shadow palettes is one of my favourites!

|Elf Blushes
I have spoke about these before and seem to be the only person not to like them! I feel like they are so chalky and do not give of much pigment as all!

|Rimmel Apocolips
I know these are a very hit or miss product in the blogging world but i really dislike them, they are so thick and the applicator applies to much product and also the colour i had was horrible when applied! I don't know the name but it is the nude shade,

|Jordana Kohl Kajal Lip liner
I love the colour and the amount of product you get in these but they drag so much when you apply them and leave my lips so sore! I don't know if it is just these Jordana ones as i have heard a lot of good things about the other ones available.

28 Cheek Products in 28 days| #25 NYC Cheek Glow

NYC is a brand that i don't own many products from but from what i have tried the product have been great quality. This blush is in the shade Nolita pink but i think the name is misleading as it is a coral/orange shade! Gold shimmer runs throughout the product but it does not transfer to the face, also it is very pigmented and you only need to use a little or the product. You can purchase this from Superdrug for £2.99. The packaging feels cheap and it quite bulky but i can live with that as i love the product!

28 Cheek Products in 28 days| #24 Make Up Revolution Baked Highlighter

Make Up Revolution is a very well known brand in the blogging world and i have loved every product that i have ever tried from them! I have featured this in a few posts but only briefly.
This highlighter is extremely pigmented and you get a lot of product so it is going to last for a long time and it is only £3.50! Make Up Revolution have a wide range of highlighters now including highlighting palettes, this one is called Peach Lights and is a champagne tone.
I highly recommend this product!

Book Review| Woman In Black: Angel Of Death

This book is an accompaniment to the Woman In Black: Angel Of Death film that was released around a month ago now but i do like to try and read the book of a film before i watch it. I have watched the previous movie it is set at the same house but it is not written by the same author.

Set around 30 years later than the first, this is focused in 1940 when a group of school children arrive at Eel Marsh House having fled the London Blitz. If you have read/seen the first book/film you will know who haunts the house and what happened in there, so im not going to elaborate as it will ruin the story.
I will say that i don't like the ending but i didn't like the ending from the first book either. I think it's just down to personal preference though really but overall i do like the book and will definitely be watching the film!

Available to purchase from here

28 Cheek Products in 28 days| #22 Smooch Cosmetics 'Cookie Crumble' Blush*

This is a blush but i would use it as a highlighter as well as a blush because it has a lovely gold sheen with flecks of glitter in. The blush would look so pretty on dark skin and it probably would only show up as a highlighter. Again i love the packaging of this as it is very reminiscent of Nars. The blush is pigmented but not overly pigmented. You can purchase this for around £4.00.

The blush is called Cookie Crumble and available from Amazon.

28 Cheek Products in 28 days| #21 Beauty UK Blush

This is the first product i have ever tried from Beauty UK, i have never really been drawn to the brand before but after this i will be trying more from them! For £2.99 you get a good sized blush with a little brush included, i probably won't use the brush but it would be great to apply highlighter. The blush is pigmented and non chalky.
This shade is called Dawn Glow #1 and it has very small gold flecks of shimmer running through.I really like the packaging for this product as it is compact but not too small.

Review| Collection Lasting Perfection Foundation

I had never tried as foundation from Collection but as it was on offer i thought i would give it a try! I chose the foundation in the the shade Porcelain as it was the lightest in the range and  is still a little too dark but i can work with it. It does last all day without going patchy or anything like that. It is a medium coverage but easily build-able. It does leave my face feeling a little tacky to the touch but it does eventually set. The price is £5.99.

Overall, I would recommend this foundation as it is long lasting and affordable but it does not top my beloved Rimmel foundations!
